Shoot the Moon ~ Hawaiian Style

Aloha! Hanalei Moon. Blue Moon. Harvest Moon. Full Moon. New Moon. So many people are fascinated by the moon. Here in Hawai'i the conditions are just right to capture the moon ~ both in your heart and soul, as well as on photo (film or digital). The moon here in Hawai'i is very spectacular. Hawai'i has lots of open spaces with little to none of artificial lights. This combination opens the door for incredible opportunities to ~ shoot the moon. Of course, having the right equipment always helps. Learning how to use the equipment also is fun and enjoyable ~ especially if you have a great subject. These pictures of our beloved moon were shot using a Nikon Coolpix L830.

Birth Of My Picture Blog

Aloha! For those of you who don't know, that means "Hello" in Hawaiian. It also means "Goodbye" and "Love".  I'm just getting my feet wet in this new picture blogging thing. I have been living here in Hawaii for 19 years (OK - my actual anniversary date is on July 27th - but what's a few days?) In the last couple of years, I have taken a ton of pictures on my cell phones (yes - I love to upgrade) and now this year, with a digital camera. I have placed a lot of pictures on Facebook and if you are friends with me you can see some of them there. However, those pictures are only the tip of the iceberg. I feel that it would be just a little selfish of me to keep  all these pictures to myself - so the birth of the blog. Plus, on Facebook you don't get the whole story. So I am going to share with you the story of my Hawaiian adventures and journey. I will be going back in time to share with you my most fondest memories and stories. As we say here in Hawaii - Mahalo (Thank You) and Aloha.

Will it work

Just getting started at creating a picture blog. So now I am going to see if this will work. Perhaps a whole new post is the solution. Had to install and  use Google Chrome to add pictures.
